O’Connor, Parsons, Lane, & Noble LLC (OPL&N) are proud to announce that the firm’s partner, Paul A. O’Connor III, has been admitted to the American College of Trial Lawyers as a Fellow. This prestigious honor has only been awarded to 5,860 individuals throughout the United States and Canada. The honor is awarded to the best legal talent in civil cases and are handpicked by the College for the Fellow’s excellence.
Paul A. O’Connor’s medical malpractice practice helps plaintiffs in cases such as wrongful death, medical negligence, birth related injuries, and other such cases where millions of dollars have been at stake. O’Connor’s law firm, OPL&N, has also been listed as one of the best law firms by US News & World Report. Paul’s cases go beyond New Jersey and he has helped represent a plaintiff in Alabama against a prenatal facility which concluded in an eight million dollar settlement. He is also certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court.
The ceremony for Paul’s induction into the American College of Trial Lawyers was located in sunny Key Biscayne, Florida, with a gathering of 585 peers during the Spring Annual Meeting the College holds every year.
All Fellows for the College are individually picked for their prowess in law and inducted by invitation only. There is a rigorous qualification process as well as an investigation into the successes and history of each person invited to the College. Each Fellow must possess civility, high professionalism, impeccable ethical conduct, and collegiately as well as have proven 15 years of trial experience. With all of this in mind, someone can then be considered for a Fellow within the association.
On top of an intense vetting process, membership is limited to one percent compared to the total population of lawyers within any state or province associated with the College. That means only the best of the best are handpicked and chosen to become a member in each state or province in the United States and Canada. The ultimate goal of the College is to uphold legal standards as well as create a fair voice within the legal industry and beyond.
Paul has proven himself with many successful cases and settlements for over twenty years of practice. He has received recognition from the College and has also been named one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers, is listed as one of the best lawyers in America by the Best Lawyers publication in America, and has been named as a “SuperLawyer” by New Jersey Monthly magazine.
