William V. Lane has had an active practice in the area of general law since his admission to the N.J. State Bar in 1977. He has extensive experience in the areas of general negligence litigation, real estate, wills and estate, municipal law, zoning, planning, family law and criminal law.
William V. Lane has represented numerous government entities including, but not limited to the Borough of South Plainfield, the Borough of Sayerville, the Board of Adjustments and/or the Planning Board of Kenilworth, South Plainfield, Sayerville, and the Mayor and Council of The Borough of Roselle Park.
In addition to the above described government representation, William V. Lane has a strong practice in real estate (representing financial institutions, purchasers and sellers), corporate and banking practice (representing financial institutions and corporations throughout the state of New Jersey) and general litigation practice, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in the civil, criminal, and chancery courts of the State of New Jersey.
Mr. Lane has appeared in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division, Chancery Division, Family Part and Probate part; Superior Court of New Jersey Appellate Division, New Jersey Supreme Court, Municipal Court and Worker’s Compensation Courts throughout the state of New Jersey; New Jersey Administrative Law Court and the U.S. District Court.
Mr. Lane received a Bachelor of Science Degree from St. Peter’s College, Jersey City, N.J. in 1966. He received his Juris Doctor Degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1972. He was admitted to the practice of law in the Supreme Court of New Jersey and the Federal District Court for the District of N.J. in 1972.
