Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Toms River Crash

Toms River, NJ — One man remains hospitalized in serious condition after an accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV on the Garden State Parkway Wednesday evening August 28th, said New Jersey State Police.  

New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said officers responded to a crash at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday near mile marker 84.4 on the southbound side of the parkway.  

According to investigators, the accident occurred when the driver of a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle traveling southbound rear-ended a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox.  

Marchan said “as a result of the collision, the motorcycle overturned and ejected the driver.  He suffered serious injuries.”

The motorcyclist, who has not been identified, was airlifted to a trauma center with serious injuries, said emergency personnel.
