I-78 Tractor Trailer Crash Injures 2 Workers in Alpha

ALPHA, NJ (1/15/2020) — Two people were injured in a tractor trailer accident in Warren County on Wednesday morning. 

According to the New Jersey State Police, the crash occurred just after 4:00 a.m. on I-78 East in Alpha Borough.

A tractor trailer entered the shoulder of a construction site, hitting two construction workers and a construction vehicle. 

One of the workers was airlifted to a nearby hospital and remains in critical condition while the other worker was released with minor injuries. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured and is cooperating with investigators.

The accident is still under investigation and the cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
