In New Jersey, the 2 year Statute of Limitations does apply to a child. However, it does not begin to run until the child turns 18. There is an exception to that rule, however. If there is a birth related injury, the statute might be shorter. Regardless, if you believe your child has been a victim of medical negligence, you should contact an attorney immediately.
