Woman Dead in Wrong-Way Crash in Oakland

Oakland, NJ (11/19/2019) - A woman died, and five others suffered injuries in a two-car crash on Tuesday. The collision happened on Skyline Drive near mile marker .5 around 8:20 am.

The 24-year-old woman drove south. She crossed the double yellow line into oncoming traffic. She hit a northbound Volkswagen. The woman, later identified as Danielle Marie Lopez, died at the scene. Paramedics transported the driver of the Volkswagen and four passengers to the hospital. They reported moderate injuries

According to Facebook comments, this street tends to have many accidents. 

The road closed for most of the day and reopened around 3:50 pm. There are no charges currently filed. The crash is still under investigation.

Unfortunately, they take a lot of time and resources to investigate. Once the cause of the accident is determined and the person or party at fault is identified charges can be brought forward.
