Two Injured in Barnegat Crash

Barnegat, NJ (11/17/2019) - Two people suffered non-life threatening injuries in a crash Sunday night. The collision occurred near the intersection of Nautilus Drive and Harpoon Drive around 10:04 pm. 

The driver of a black Jeep Grand Cherokee left their southbound lane and struck a blue Nissan Sentra in the northbound lane. 

Both the driver and passenger in the Sentra suffered minor injuries. The driver, 47, suffered a compound fracture in a leg. The passenger, 67, suffered chest pain and broke her ankle. Neither wore a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Jeep, 44, suffered no injuries. He wore his seatbelt. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

We would like to express our condolences to those affected by this car accident. These types of accidents are all too common in New Jersey. Unfortunately, they take a lot of time and resources to investigate. Once the cause of the accident is determined and the person or party at fault is identified charges can be brought forward.
