New Jersey Transit Bus Accident Injures Three Passengers

BOGOTA, NJ (2/24/2020) — Three people were injured in an accident involving a New Jersey Transit bus and a truck on Monday.

The crash occurred in the eastbound express lane of Interstate 80 around 9:00 a.m. 

According to state authorities, the three injured victims were passengers on the transit bus.

They were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Their names have not yet been released to the public, and the details of their injuries and conditions are unknown. 

Police closed one lane of the highway following the crash, which resulted in travel delays of up 20 minutes in the surrounding area. 

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by local authorities.
