Hamburg, NJ — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash with an SUV along Route 23 in the afternoon on Tuesday, August 27th.
According to police, the 50-year-old rider, whose name has not been released, was traveling southbound when the other vehicle turned off the road in front of the motorcyclist.
The 55-year-old woman driving the car was not injured. The man on the motorcycle, however, suffered internal bleeding and several broken bones. He was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center in critical condition.
The area was closed for several hours as emergency crews worked on the scene. Authorities have not made a statement regarding any additional factors in the crash, though they did say the driver of the car will be issued a summons.
