High Speed Suspected Factor in Crash that Killed Husband, Wife Just Outside Their Home

Lodi, NJ –  An early-morning crash on Saturday, June 29, killed a husband and wife just outside their home. Around 7 a.m., a Dodge Charger believed to have been traveling at high speeds collided with the couple’s Toyota Corolla on Harrison Avenue.

The victim’s identities have not been released. The driver of the Charger was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.

Investigators do not suspect alcohol or drugs to be factors in the crash but did say that speed may have been a factor. Neighbors reported that no one follows the posted speed limit signs along the road.

The accident is still under investigation.
