Fair Lawn Crash Caused by Medical Emergency Sends Two to Hospital

Fair Lawn, NJ (12/12/2019) - A five-vehicle crash in Fair Lawn sent two people to the hospital on Thursday night. The collision happened on Fair Lawn Avenue near Abbott Road around 5:20 pm.

Police stated that a 66-year-old man from Fair Lawn suffered from a medical episode while driving. He lost control of his 2019 Audi and struck a traffic safety bollard and a pedestrian crossing sign.

His car continued into a 2007 Saturn and two parked vehicles. The Saturn was pushed into a 2013 Toyota, which hit a parked car.

Volunteer paramedics took the 66-year-old man to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. EMTs took the woman driving the Saturn to Valley Hospital with a facial injury. There are no other reported injuries or filed charges yet.

O’Connor, Parsons, Lane, and Noble would like to express our condolences to those affected by this tragic car accident. Unfortunately, these types of accidents are all too common in New Jersey. Unfortunately, they take a lot of time and resources to investigate. After investigating the crash and the cause of the accident, the person or party at fault can get identified. Finally, charges can be brought forward.

At O’Connor, Parsons, Lane, and Noble we fight for victims as compassionate advocates after car accidents and many other types of accidents as well.
