Elmwood Park, NJ — A teenager was killed and two others injured in a fatal crash along I-80 late Sunday, August 18th.
Police reported that the accident occurred when a car traveling westbound struck a concrete divider, causing it to spin around and strike an SUV head-on.
The 33-year-old driver of the car that spun out was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Her passenger, 15-year-old Kayla Liriano, was killed in the crash. The SUV driver was treated for minor injuries.
Authorities are continuing to investigate, and have not yet determined the cause of the crash.
