Rollover Accident in Franklin

Franklin, NJ -- A driver and a child were seriously injured Sunday evening after a roll-over crash. The crash occurred near the Ogdensburg border around 7:10 pm.

Police reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle and crossed the center line. As the car left the road it struck a traffic sign, embankment, and overturned hitting a concrete wall. The driver got ejected from the vehicle. 

The vehicle continued overturning and hit a heavy brush, a block in a retaining wall, and a vinyl fence of a nearby home. 

Both driver and child survived the crash. Paramedics transported them to Morristown Medical Center. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. 

New Jersey Police are looking for any witnesses of the accident. They have asked anyone with information to call the Franklin Borough Police Detective Bureau at 973-827-7700 ext 237 or 231.
