Associate

Meredith Mona is an associate at O’Connor, Parsons, Lane & Noble, LLC and focuses on personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Meredith joined the firm in 2020 with extensive litigation and trial experience as a former Assistant Prosecutor in the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

While at OPLN, Meredith has gained valuable experience working on behalf of injured plaintiffs in personal injury and medical malpractice cases. She has played a key role in several medical malpractice cases ranging from birth-related injury cases to cases involving wrongful death.

In fact, Meredith’s skills and comfort in the courtroom were on full display as co-counsel in a failure to diagnose oral cancer case which resulted in a verdict of $3.8 million dollars. In addition to medical malpractice cases, Meredith also focuses on personal injury-related matters resulting in catastrophic injuries.

While an Assistant Prosecutor in Essex County, Meredith actively litigated numerous significant criminal cases, including obtaining a guilty verdict against a defendant charged with the murder of his brother, desecrating human remains, animal cruelty, and weapons offenses.

Meredith successfully obtained verdicts in several other trials, including homicides, robberies, and other criminal offenses. Meredith also served as a legal advisor to the various police departments in Essex County.

Meredith received her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Maryland in 2009. She attended Seton Hall University School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude and was elected to the Order of the Coif.

While at Seton Hall Law, Meredith was a member of the Interscholastic Moot Court Board and served as the Business Editor of the Seton Hall Legislative Journal. Meredith was awarded for her oral advocacy and brief writing.

She continues to teach Seton Hall students oral advocacy as a coach for the Interscholastic Moot Court Board. After graduating law school in 2013, Meredith served as a law clerk for the Honorable Jose L. Fuentes, P.J.A.D. in the Superior Court of New Jersey – Appellate Division.

Meredith is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New Jersey Women’s Lawyer’s Association, and the Essex County Bar Association.
