SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ (1/14/2020) — A driver is now in stable condition after being struck by another car in South Brunswick on Tuesday morning.
Police said that the man was traveling westbound on New Road when a second car ran a red light at the intersection of Route 1 and New Road around 10:07 a.m.
A witness stated that the vehicles caught fire after the crash so he notified a nearby police officer. The officer arrived at the scene shortly after and extinguished the fire with a nearby firefighter.
One driver was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, but is now in stable condition as of Wednesday. The other driver was evaluated and released on the scene by emergency technicians with no serious injuries.
This accident is currently under investigation. If anyone has any more information about the details of the crash, please notify the South Brunswick Police Department.
