Multi-Vehicle Crash on New Jersey Turnpike

Ridgefield, NJ -- A fatal crash happened Saturday on the New Jersey Turnpike. The accident took place around 2:30 pm on the western spur of the Turnpike in Bergen County.

The collision occurred at mile marker 115.6, and one person died in the accident. The crash involved multiple vehicles. Two of the southbound lanes closed after the crash, as well as one northbound lane. 

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
