Bus Crash on New Jersey Turnpike Kills One, Injures Five

Burlington County, NJ (11/29/2019) - A bus crash on the NJ Turnpike Friday night ended with one person dead and five others injured. The wreck happened at Mile Marker 57 around 8:40 pm.

A spokesperson for the state police confirmed that one person died in the crash. The area affected by the collision is the outer southbound lanes. Those lanes remained closed until after 10:20 pm. 

At the time of the wreck, crews reported that the driver of the bus needed rescue, the crash trapped him. 

The cause of the crash remains unknown and is under investigation.
