Robert A. Ballard, III is a Partner at O’Connor, Parsons, Lane & Noble LLC and has been with the firm since 2017. Robert specializes in employment law, with a significant emphasis in wrongful termination and workplace harassment matters, as well as personal injury matters, including cases involving slip and falls and car accidents.
Particularly, Robert has represented numerous employees in cases against their current and former employers in a variety of different claims, including sexual and racial harassment, hostile work environment, race discrimination, disability discrimination, age discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, unlawful retaliation and violations of the FMLA and NJFLA. In addition, Robert handles criminal law matters for the firm, including DWI and other municipal court matters.
Robert received his B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University in 2010 and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2013. While at Seton Hall Law, Robert served as a clinical student in the SHU Law’s Civil Rights and Constitutional Litigation Clinic. During his time at SHU Law, Robert was awarded for his writing ability and advocacy skills during the Eugene Gressman Moot Court Competition. Robert’s work has also been published in the Lewis and Clark Law School Animal Law Journal. Prior to joining the firm, Robert served as the law clerk for the Honorable Julie M. Marino, P.J.Cr. in the Superior Court of New Jersey – Somerset County.
After his clerkship, Robert spent nearly three years as an Assistant Prosecutor with the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. During his time as an Assistant Prosecutor, Robert handled a wide array of cases ranging from DWI to robbery and homicide. He dedicated his time as an Assistant Prosecutor to protecting victims’ rights and fighting on behalf of those who had been wronged.
Robert comes to the firm with a substantial amount of trial experience, having handled trials involving charges of murder, robbery, assault and motor vehicle violations including DWI, amongst others.
